Gurkhas no.1 Combat kukri; Army's Secondary Knife for Military Mission

Gurkhas in CombatThe name "combat" and "military mission" refer this kukri's usage in any combative and military situations by Gurkha soldiers. This is not an officially issued kukri however Gurkha soldiers can choose a secondary no.2 knife for themselves. Most prefer "Gurkhas no.1 Combat kukri" due to its perfect size, feel and durability. It is also quite similar to the Service No1. kukri that the soldiers are so accustomed with hence the knife is easy picking for them; no extra effort to use or handle.

Gurkha Combat military mission is very similar to the “Famous WW Khukuri (Legendary)” kukri but with unpolished blade and handle for rough use. The unpolished horn handle gives better grip for effective hold while the unpolished blade is for hard core use. This type of kukri is highly recommended for jungle and safari tours and any activities that require hacking and cutting. The small two knives Karda Chakmak are not offered in this kukri. The motive here is the make the kukri as light and mobile as possible.

Simple yet fierce modern day soldier's Kukri ...

Blade: The blade is full 12 inch long and more curved than the standard service kukri issued to Gurkhas. The blade profile is very similar to “Famous World War Khukuri (Legendary)" in shape and style. The unpolished version is specifically selected to make the kukri synchronize with the jungle ambient and to camouflage with the gears and wears of a soldier. NO shiny stuffs.

Handle: The unpolished horn handle gives better grip and blends with the uniform of the carrier perfectly. It has full tang traditional handle with raw brass fixtures. This typical khukuri shaped handle backed up by matt finishing gives a prefect grip.

Sheath: Gurkhas no.1 kukri has a typical plain normal leather scabbard with single belt loop attached to it. Two traditional accompanying knives (Karda and Chakmak) are completely discarded. The sheath comes with leather loop-tip in front for a string or thong to go thru and tie around the thigh. The makes the kukri glued to the body, thus easy and swift movement.
