First we make sure the payment is well received then each online sale/payment is official acknowledged by an invoice (PDF file) on the following business days. The invoice will have topics like payment, sales amount, sold item/s name, quantity, time frame, forwarding, delivery time and others as necessary. In case of any order confusion or mix up then we will first contact the buyer and confirm the product/s before processing. We will also update the customer should there by any need for it. The tracking number will be emailed to the customer by KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI)'s shipper once the order is forwarded to the shipper.
(IMP notice :: If you have not received any email from us even after 3-4 days from paid day then please contact us directly thru our LIVE CHAT. We have learnt that some of our emails are discarded by some anti-virus program due to it being an attachment email creating suspicion/confusion within the buyers)
Delivery & time frame
This entirely depends on the type and availability (in stock) of the product that is ordered. We assure that we will take as less time as possible unless our activities are badly disrupted. Products in stock are shipped within 2-3-5 days from sales invoice. We also entertain "Deadline" if there is any at no extra charge. Our normal time frame is given below. Our forwarding partner is Atlanta Traders and Exporters and shippers we use are DHL, TNT and EMS nepal (USPS).
Order processing (handing/making) + forwarding = 10-12-15 days
Legal procedures (formalities + documentations) = 1-2 day
Shipping (source to destination) = 3-5-7 days

Due to some strict regulation by DHL (our main shipper) knives other than kukri or kukri shaped (re-curve) like straight knives, bowie, machete, double edged blades, we are compelled to ship thru the “Cargo+Courier” mode along with various items mixed together. Hence the delivery time frame is longer than regular shipping. We regretfully announce that this shipping method takes anytime from 5-8-12 days from the shipped date depending on the countries. We are working very closely with the shipper to sorting it out but it may take some time. On the other hand, any knives in kukri format are no issue and shipped as normal (3-5 days or less).
Shipping Note exercised for exporting/shipping:
We declare all kukri/s as "Souvenirs from Nepal” or “Traditional Handicrafts from Nepal” under internationally recognized GSP code provided to Khukuri House (KHHI) nepal by the Nepalese Govt. We also make all the required documentations and favorable billings so that clearance and collection can be swiftly done at the customer's end. However if the importing laws of a country requires permit and others (as every country has their own laws and we have to get abide by it) then our shipper in the destination country will notify the buyer to fulfilling the legal steps needed to clear the order from the customs. After releasing it will be delivered at the home/office location of the buyer (the final destination) by the shipper.
Please be notified that if customs official confiscates the order for any other reason then KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) will not be held responsible and thus refund is not done.
KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) stands firm in delivery quality kukri and the staff works round the clock tirelessly to meet the demands and to satisfy customers' need. All our products are carefully checked time and again before forwarding to the shipper. We also take pride in saying that we have more than 80% returning customers always wanting to buy more. This fact itself discloses the quality and the customer service we offer. However there may come circumstances/situations where company has to implement a refund policy. Here are few of such..
- In case a product other than actually ordered/sold has been sent by mistake
- When payment for the same order is accidentally received/deposited twice (Duplicate Order). However KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) does not entertain refunding thus we will try to negotiate with the customer to clear the matter
- If KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) completely fails to deliver the product or delays well beyond the given delivery time frame
- Significant flaw in quality as per KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) Warranty
All products are insured and the buyer is eligible for full compensation under the following conditions:
If by any chance we completely fail to deliver a product within estimated given period of time. If an order is mistakenly sent to wrong address than the destination provided by the buyer. In case of theft, robbery, accident or lose of item before reaching the buyer. For any shipping error/issue/negligence from the shipper's end (here we will work out with the shipper and claim for compensation on customer's behalf). However in cases like minor damage in the product or buyer’s negligence causing damage to the product, we will not be held responsible. Insurance policy does not cover such act.
Replacement / Return policy
Since all our knives are entirely handmade and we are also human after all there may be small chances of error or quality issue. KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) staff work round the clock for best possible quality however in very rare cases few knives may skip the quality control procedures. In such situation a customer can claim for a complete new one (replacement) or ask for Refund under the following conditions:
- as per the Warranty policy
- khukuri must be completely damaged
- khukuri must get severe injury (unusable)
- if the edge of the khukuri is intensely broken on arrival or gets intensely fractured when using
- customer must ship back the khukuri to KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) at his own cost
- KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) will closely inspect the damage/s and replace at its own cost (including shipping) if required
- If KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) decides to replace the damaged kukri then the shipping cost from origin to destination has to be beared by the customer himself
Refunding is a lengthy administrative process at KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) which takes about 3-5 days since we deeply investigate the cause for refund. On approval, KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) will refund the whole amount.

Offline Payment Options
1. Bank Wire (+ USD 60 and Bank Fee At Buyer's End)
KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) will provide the banking details for remittance to the customer when finalizing the order. Please be aware that KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) bank does not charge anything for receiving the fund on behalf of KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI).
2. Western Union (+ 3% on Total Cost)
Please pre inform KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) if you want to use this option. KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) will then give you the cost and related and necessary info to accomplish payment through this method. You need to send MTC number to KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) after doing the wiring so that KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) can track the fund and collect it.
3. Bank Draft/Cheque (+ USD 10 and + 1.5% on Total Cost)
Please pre inform KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) if you want to use this option. KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) will then give you the cost and related and necessary info to accomplish payment through this method. The extra charge involved in this payment option entirely depends on the size or volume of the order for which KHUKURI HOUSE (KHHI) will info the customer in advance or when finalizing the order.
