What are Karda Chakmak ?  the handiest backup knives ...

It’s always a good idea to be prepared. While a Kukri is a fantastic tool to have in your arsenal, it is often inseparable from it’s two little brothers the Karda knife, and the Chakmak sharpener. While their small size does not make them a good primary tool, they are great to have as a backup.

The Karda is usually used as a skinning knife, and is used for small, finer tasks the Kukri might be unwieldy. The chakmak is a sharpener, especially if you lose your sharpening stone. Another role of the chakmak is to be used, in combination with a flint, or other rock, as a fire-starter, in an emergency.

Our special Karda and Chakmak are designed to be of the highest quality. They have a full rat-tail tang, which is peened over the sheet brass, or iron butt plates. A classy addition to any Kukri, this Karda and Chakmak set will surely increase the value of your blade.

Most traditional kukri knives would not be complete without these two knives.
