What are Karda Chakmak ? a handy set of backup knives...

It’s always a good idea to be prepared...  While a Kukri is solely a fantastic tool to have in your arsenal, it is often inseparable from it’s two little brothers, the Karda knife and the Chakmak sharpener. While their small size does not make them a very good primary tool, they are great to have as backup. You never know whats in store for you in life..

The Karda is usually used as a skinning knife, and is used for small, finer tasks the Kukri might be unwieldy. The chakmak can be an emergency sharpener, especially if you lose your sharpening stone or none is avail. Another role of the chakmak is to be used, in combination with a flint, or other rock, as a fire-starter, in any emergency situations.

Our special Karda and Chakmak are designed to be of the highest quality. They are made from the same steel as with the big mother blades. They are properly heat treated in oil for strength and stamina. They have a full rat-tail tang, which is peened over the brass sheet, or iron butt plate.

A classy addition to any Kukri, this Karda and Chakmak set will surely increase the value of your blade.

Most traditional kukri knives would not be complete without these two knives.
