7inch blade, Raw finishing, Hand Forged for countryside/village use

This hand forged raw kukri is the predecessor of 5160 Raw Kukri (Forged To Serve). After the release of 5160 Raw Kukri (Forged To Serve), people demanded the same kukri to be made in smaller size. Thus, the smaller version with 7inch blade was first produced and released by KHHI on 6th Feb 2015. It is a perfect mini-sized kukri for effective and efficient use.

As most of the kukris made in villages are raw, not polished since they are used in day to day use. Raw kukri is very efficient in the villages. To make those kukri knives more lively and the power this khukuri generates makes it a perfect village khukuri.

So, here's the 7” version of 5160 raw hand forged kukri to serve in the remote villages of Nepal.

Blade: Since it is the mini version of Raw Panawal the design of the blade remains same as his big brother, only the length has been shortened to 7inches long. The raw finishing retains the hardness and enhances the cutting ability and durability while fullers reduces unnecessary weight.

Handle: The handle of this kukri is like that of the famous “Panawal” version where the flat tang goes all the way through the handle, and twin rivets are fitted to strengthen the fixtures. This full flat metal tang can be clearly seen as lines running though the two sides of the handle. The handle pieces are made of rosewood to give an overall classic look and sturdiness where both the pommel and bolster are made from thick iron plate to withstand the heavy impact taken by the blade.

Sheath: It has a normal black leather scabbard. Near the mouth of the sheath, you can find a frog loop for belt to go through and carry it. While the tip of the scabbard features lanyard loop to tie the scabbard to thigh and cancel unwanted wobbling while in action.
