TANTO Knife with a smart edge blade for flawless strike

For smart people like you who want to strike and hike through the unknown. You know your journey with our Tanto knife will never fail.

The “TANTO Strike Knife” is a creative joint project between Nathan Silveira (Nate) from the USA and Khukuri House, Nepal. It is very well designed by Nate and brilliantly executed by Khukuri House.

The “tanto” tip version makes this knife unique and excels over other knives offered by the company. The simple yet very striking blade profile followed by a tanto tip makes the knife very strong and useful in both depart; Cutting and Stabbing; hence the title, SMARTEDGE. The handle is another major advantage of the knife that backups the blade superbly, be it look-wise or work-wise. The human ergonomic handle shape featuring the double guard at the front and solid surface breaking tang at back gives all the essentials to exist as a deadly and useful knife-cum-tool. Its special Kydex sheath on the other hand makes it extremely useful and a delight to carry and operate. The sheath is the final impeccable answer to this amazing knife.

About the Designer and this words on design

Nate Silveira is a knife, Sword, and Historical weapon enthusiast from the USA. He has worked with many smiths for his custom designs from Pakistan to Poland and of course Nepal and so on. Over the years, Khukuri House has created made many of his designs for his private collection but now in 2021, we have partnered with him to work on mainstream options.

"Having had a lot of my pieces being on the larger side in terms of bowies, swords, and other enormous fighters, I decided to start off my initial design opportunity on to the Khukuri House scene with a 7-inch combat-utility knife."

I wanted a piece that was a hybrid of modern and historical elements:
"The American Tanto style with downward spine angle placing the strong point in line with the handle for optimum thrusting positioning regardless of how it's being used (Forward grip, Reverse grip).

The secondary point will lend itself to snap-cutting and aggressive contact-cutting as it will act somewhat like a wharncliffe (Drawing material into the point). The thickness and geometry of the blade will also allow for wood splitting. The Fullers should reduce friction with this application.

The handle is influenced by the legendary Randall Model 14 Border Patrol handle which is just a classic and solid design, It should serve well in any grip. The extended "glass breaker" follows the flow of the handle without becoming overly uncomfortable to the hand (Out of the way).

To round out the package it is also supplied with a “Modern meets traditional” Kydex+Leather Hybrid sheath for the best of both worlds."
