Majestic, most precious, gift - truly a kukri to behold, admire and own...

A Nepali woman with Kothimoda kukriKHHI nepal presents a true work of art, in both beauty and craftsmanship. A vintage khukuri that over powers its kind by its classic style, elegance, value and sheer material. This kothimoda kukri is generally made for special occasions, to be gifted to special guests, persona and who’s who of the society. It is made from the highest degree of standard when it comes to the usage of skill and materials. Over 200 grams of pure silver is used to adorn its excellent sheath; all very well done by master silversmiths. The 'Vintage Kothimoda' is an outstanding piece from the “Kothimoda (silver sheathed kukri)” family especially designed to honor a person and his deed and even to mark an occasion at the optimum level.

Its unique silver scabbard differentiates it from the rest of all other Kothimodas. To give an authentic look of the antique kothimoda kukris, the velvet fabric in the sheath is replaced by buffalo hide. Then the artistic silver decoration (traditional patterns, figures and inlays) is done all over the black leather sheath and hence the grand name “Vintage Silver Khukuri” is given. To make such sheath, a very skilled craftsman undertakes the making with extreme care, dedication and of course through his great talent. It takes him about a week to get the sheath ready. The hard work, dedication, art, and fine materials are the components of this exquisite khukuri.

The Kukri blade is mirror polished fitted by a polished water buffalo handle, and is sharp, very much usable, completed by polished Karda and Chakmak (companion blades that go at the back of the sheath). In most cases if you are buying this item then you are most likely to display it because of it’s beautiful sheath. You also need to protect the blade from scratches and bruises so best to décor it to adorn a space. Having said that you can always use the kukri with no issue.

Own the kukri, display it and in the process raise your status in your society...
