Nepali farmer with khukuriThis Farmer's Choice khukuri is a heavier version of the standard kukri specially built for heavy-duty cutting works. The heavy blade generates hard blows resulting greater score and inflicting deeper cut; hence reducing work time and saving energy. This main strength of the khukuri makes it favourite for farmer’s to carry all the time when a knife is required. Also its unpolished feature resembles the historic kukris used by farmers and villagers in Nepal for just about anything to perform their daily domestic works. Now hand forged by KHHI nepal, the khukuri is a perfect knife and a decent tool when one needs sharp edge and hard surface to accomplish a task or two.

Strong Blade & Handle; a Heavy Duty knife and a useful tool..

Blade: it is full 10 inch long having unpolished finishing. The panel of the blade has semi-fuller (aadi chirra) running across the upper section. This fuller reduces unnecessary weight of the blade and allows for easy and prolong usage. It also equally distributes the impact taken by the blade, giving it extra strength and durability to the edge (because of the fuller, the tension created on impact is eased and wave is evenly distributed). Although the blade falls on the heavy side it is well balanced and very easy to handle.

Handle: Has the famous “Panawal” version where the handle scales are glued by high quality epoxy to the full flat tang and metal rivets are used to secure it. This full flat tang can be clearly seen form outside on the two sides. The tang follows the shape and contours of the handle all the way. Unpolished buffalo horn is used to make the handle. This not only gives an overall matching look but is also very durable natural material. Thick iron plate pommel (Chappri) and bolster (Kanzo) are used to complete the handle fixture. (IMP note:: If the HORN is not to our quality standard when making then it would be replaced by BLACK WOOD)

Scabbard: It has regular black leather made in blade's shape to house the kukri. A leather frog (belt loop) is attached in the body for carry purpose.
