DUO = Bowie + Kukri; a youthful design from the forge of KHHI nepal

Sometimes in order to look into the future, you have to acknowledge the wisdom and traditions of the past and move on... For this Modern kukri we have taken what makes the classic Kukri so versatile and useful and at the same time added some modern touch to improve the overall feature and performance. From its lively gently curved of 10.5 inches blade to its strong contemporary-comfortable riveted handle to its unique scabbard and frog; Modern Era Kukri-Bowie (DUO) is one very fascinating and functional, a modern-classic knife.

This knife design is inspired by both Kukri and Bowie; an in-between version, hence the unique name DUO. A complete true master and youthful design for the modern era people who love something new and different.

What makes 'DUO' a modern Knife for this super-modern generation?

The Blade

  • Gently curved for deep, effortless chops
  • Made from High carbon steel 52100 (the famous TOOL steel)
  • Semi polished for easy cleaning, rust prevention and good look
  • Flares at the handle for easy handling and protection while thrusting

The Handle

  • Full Flat tang Panawal handle for maximum strength
  • Unpolished buffalo horn handle for improved grip and easy cleaning
  • Shaped for a comfortable grip when doing everyday use and heavy chopping
  • (note:: If the HORN is not to our quality standard when making then it would be replaced by BLACK WOOD)

  • Exclusive “Farus (forg)” style where the belt loop attached to the sheath's body, keeping the blade close to the body for easier carriage and added security
  • Laced up with shoelaces or leather lacing

  • Unique ‘Buttewal’ Water Buffalo hide.
  • Karda and Chakmak not included
  • Flat wooden frame covered by Special water buffalo leather on the scabbard, for easy draw, and durability
