A 9 inch Camping kukri knife having Chirra in blade with Panawal handle

It is a mini and modified version of the famous 3 fuller (Ripper) model. With the success story of the Ripper (Three Fullers in blade) kukri spreading far and beyond KHHI is excited, encouraged and needed to come with a smaller version and thus as a result the Mini Camp Kukri (Chirra+Pana) was created.

Talking about the name its a panawal (full flat tang handle) khukuri with chirra (fuller) in the blade so called Chirra-Pana (Chirrawal + Panawal). The aim here is to make a complete camping kukri with all the features needed to settle and sustain in the vegetation.

the BLADE has three fullers (Chirras) forged to show the unique craftsmanship and more importantly to withstand and support the impact/pressure felt by the blade while using/striking. The blade is highly polished to prevent from rusting and for easy maintenance. The traditional notch is removed to give a modern and distinct look.

while the HANDLE is totally unpolished to provide better "no-slip yes-sturdy" grip. It is made from rosewood (ignore the photo's handle) and the fixture adapted is a FFT riveted (Full Flat Tang) version. This means the material is strong and system used is the most secured one. The outcome is a very long-term handle that would withstand years of hard use and abuse. Also the top portion of the metallic butt cap is fully rounded to prevent from pricking into the flesh when holding the knife.

Green leather is used to make the sheath to give a matching look and suit the handle. A lanyard loop is fitted in the tip of the sheath to accommodate a leather thigh string to go thru for thigh stripe.

Lastly ChirraPana kukri is very personal knife that you always want to carry when out in the green. The ChirraPana would surpass all challenges that it is made to face against it while you are out in the wilds.
