This Gurkhali Khukuri is Inspired by the fearsome Gurkha war cry - 'Jai Mahakali, Aayo Gurkhali'; hence the name

This fearsome out cry of Gurkhas in battles are dreaded by all. “Aayo Gurkhali” in Nepalese means “here comes the Gurkhas OR the Gurkhas are upon you”, and "Jai Mahakali" means "long live the great Kali goddess". Legend says, the fearless Gurkhas used to charge upon their enemies screaming this provoking phrase welding their kukris in hand in a typical Gurkhali style. It is believed to have been the enemies’ worst nightmare and comrades/battalion best possession/spirit at the same time. Hence the Gurkhali War Cry Khukuri is put on KHHI’s shelf to honor all these brave Gurkhas. The aim here is to show our deepest respect and gratitude to these men who gave their lives and willing to give up their lives for a noble cause and a better tomorrow.

recalling the famous war action in the form of a Kukri; a rousing Gurkhali war cry that shook the world..

Blade: This kukri is basically made in the “World War” version however with an improvised finishing. This highly polished Kukri is slightly larger and fairly curved than the current kukri issued to Gurkhas. The blade is engraved with the phrase, “Aayo Gurkhali” and the famous “War Cry” insignia (logo) of the Gurkhas as a dedication to the brave soldiers and also to recall their famous war action. (see photo)

Handle: The handle is made out of treated horn of water buffalo fixed by steel pommel and but cap. It is made in typical kukri format having a rat tail tang fixture. The well polished horn handle gives an overall attractive look to the kukri.

Sheath: The sheath of this knife is made in army green leather to give a different and fine look. The sheath goes really well with the finely finished blade and handle. A cross kukri insignia of the legendary Gurkhas is also mounted on the frog to give more attractive look. This also provides an essence of a typical “Gurkhali” look.

Although the blade is intended as a souvenir or display piece from Nepal but it can definitely be used comfortably. The blade's and handle's making process and materials used are same as in any hardcore working kukri knives. The only concerned matter would be the engraving done in the blade which might fade off with usage (wear and tear)

BLADE SIZE: 11 inches approx.
MATERIALS/FEATURES: Army green leather scabbard, highly polished blade and horn handle, "War Cry" chemical engraving
