3 Chirra khukuri; Ripper: A treasure for the knife lovers; A1 performer; All-time best seller

The RIPPER khukuri falls under the famous “Angkhola Chirra” family. Since it has 3 x functional fuller/chirra in the panel of the blade and truly rips apart any object with ease the name is given so. One of the strongest contenders of Khukuri House's amazing product line and of course company’s pride that has become the best seller of all time, this kukri is a pure work of art at its best.

3 fuller ripper kukriThe kukri knife requires great skill and experience since the maker has to create fullers/layers in the blade that would later serve as the strength provider and shock absorber to the sharp edge. The chirra also takes out the unnecessary weight of the blade as in the I-BEAMS concept and gives a balanced weight to the knife which is very crucial for effective and efficient usage. This crescent like structure created from forging and grinding for work and art makes this knife so special that adds the beauty and beast character to it.

What is an Angkhola? “Angkhola” in proper khukuri term means to open the panel. “Ang” means the panel of the blade and “Khola or Kholnu” means to remove the stock in a hollow way.

Here 3 x fuller combination give durability and endurance to the blade that is needed while performing heavy duty works since it absorbs the direct impact felt by the edge. The stock removal also takes away the unnecessary mass/weight of the blade making the knife light and mobile. It is also a display of true craftsmanship as it is the hardest to craft.

The blade is 12 inches long (not too long or too short) which provides a very good reach and balance. Its the ideal size to maximize the output.

The handle of this kukri is another strong point perfectly executed to meet the demand of the heavy blade. 3 Chirra Ripper has the famous “Panawal” version tang, Here the full and flat tang, which can also be seen on the sides, goes all the way through the handle and is fitted to the butt cap. The tang is further riveted to the handle scales to enhance the whole fixture. A typical khukuri shape handle is opted for the khukuri. The handle is about 5 inch long; a fitting and comfortable grip all the way.

3 Chirra (Ripper) has a normal traditional leather sheath. The two small traditional knives are discarded as they hardly have any use since the modern ones are much better off. A lanyard loop tip is fitted in the tip section just incase a user wants to tie his khukuri around his thigh.

Materials /Features: Water buffalo leather scabbard, 3 x riveted FULL FLAT tang Indian rosewood handle, three fullers/layers
